I hope you are still checking in at Book around the States occasionally, as people are still suggesting books for the states. I am also listing all the books on the sidebar, and you can look up ANY state by clicking on the labels. When you run across a book you like, please leave a comment on any post on my Book around the States blog, and I'll add it among the ones people can choose from.

Margaret Truman's mysteries. The Journals of Athur Schlesenger. Primary Colors by Anonymous? I think that's DC.

I know you already have an Oregon book listed, but a wonderful Oregon author is Jane Kirkpatrick and my suggestion would be A Gathering of Finches. This was the first one of hers that I read and it is wonderful. Jane writes historical fiction based on the lives of real women. This particular book is about Cassie Simpson, the wife of Louis Simpson who was a timber baron and one of the founders of South Bend, Oregon. A really good read. You'll want to visit the State Park that is on their old house site when you finish, guaranteed.

The Smithsonian by Gore Vidal. It's a little Night At The Museum (the Ben Stiller movie) only predating it by a few decades.

to Framed and Booked: Tristi Pinkston suggested you might really like to read and review HEARTS OF COURAGE. It is an Alaska aviation true story of my Father's survival of a crash in a remote region of the territory(29 days,,,JAN/FEB 1943).It is also a story of faith and prayers answered.
